Science
Our Science activities contain a theme that changes every month. The Science lessons contain age-appropriate books and activities to help children explore the specific topics.
Language Arts
Our Language Arts activities makes learning phonetics fun by engaging preschoolers in various hands-on tasks. Activities are repeated with more advanced skills throughout the curriculum to continually improve upon the skills.
Art
Our Art activities inspire and enhance the creative thinking of preschoolers. Some of our art activities come with pre-made craft kits that engage preschoolers in fun and educational tasks.
Mathematics
Our Math activities influence children to use a logical and analytical mindset with various activities. This subject has many hands-on activities that help children retain the concepts being taught.
What is in our Preschool Program?
Music
Our Music activities enrich the mindset of preschoolers while introducing basic principles. Our music program uses various musical instruments and songs to further preschoolers' mental growth.
Physical Activities
Our Physical Activities encourage preschoolers to burn off energy in a fun and exercising fashion. These activities build fine and gross motor skills and teach new skills.
Suggested Activities
Our Suggested Activities offer a break from other activities, while still influencing creative and analytical thinking. These help further encourage exploration of subject topics and are designed for preschoolers to complete without much guidance from adults.
Review Activities
Our Review Activities provide tasks that teach children essential information while providing a fun assignment.
This curriculum is designed to be flexible. You can have a set time during the day to schedule “school-time” for preschoolers or you can do the activities as you find time throughout the week.
The curriculum includes a Monthly Overview. This contains a breakdown of all lessons for the month as well as a supply list. After the Monthly Overview, the Weekly Lesson Plans are included. Each subject is listed followed by the concept taught in the lesson. Each week is broken into the different subjects with all Worksheets, Color Sheets, Activity Sheets, Activity Kits, Books, and Instructions for the week. These will display in bold in the lesson plans, so you know to look for them. A week is considered Monday thru Friday, though you can adjust it in any way you need. There are four weekly lesson plans for each month that focus on all subject areas with a supplemental lesson being reserved for exploration of the science theme of the month such as a nature walk or a trip to the zoo. This is an important part of learning as preschoolers get to expand their world by going out into their communities and experiencing the things they have been learning about for the month.
Children are not expected to complete all activities or subjects. If you start an activity and the child tires of it, then skip it, or come back to it another time. Preschoolers learn better when they are interested and not frustrated. If your child is routine-oriented, it is recommended that a schedule be followed for the time dedicated to learning each day. A recommended weekly schedule displays below (we consider 4 weeks in a month). If you find this does not work for you, then adjust it in any way you need. Notice that you can repeat activities, especially if your child asks.
